Teruhiko Yumura was one of the leading artists in the 1970s movement of "punk" mangas, which promoted lunacy and manic scribbles instead of artistic qualities. Yumura published his work under a variety of pseudonyms, including Terry Johnson and King Terry, and appeared in the pages and on covers of magazines like Garo and Comic Cue.
